DIN 976 Threaded Rod

M6–M30 · fully threaded · cut to orderDIN 976
DIN 976 threaded rod (stud, threaded bar): fasteners with a metric thread along their entire length, for use together with nuts and washers.

DIN 976 threaded rods are long, fully threaded fasteners used in various structural and mechanical connections. Known as studs, threaded bars and threaded rod, these products are used mainly together with nuts and washers.

Because a threaded rod has a metric thread along its entire length, it is a practical solution for fastening at various distances and joining different structural elements. The most common sizes include M6, M8, M10, M12, M14, M16, M20, M24, M27 and M30; length is selected to suit the application, and the rod can be cut to project size.

Key characteristics

  • Threaded along the entire length
  • Metric thread system
  • Various diameter and length options
  • Various materials and strength classes
  • Zinc-plated (galvanized) and black surface variants
  • Used together with nuts and washers

Applications

DIN 976 studs are used in steel structures, construction and assembly work, machine building, industrial equipment, pipe and cable supports, ventilation systems, suspended structures, and anchoring and fastening systems. They are especially suitable for long-span fastening, installing suspended structures and connections where bolt length is not enough.
