Anchor Bolts

Wedge Anchor

Wedge Anchor · electro-galvanized · M6–M20

Wedge anchors: electro-galvanized mechanical anchor bolts that provide high holding capacity in concrete and solid mineral bases through wedge expansion.

Wedge anchors are mechanical anchors used to reliably fix steel structures, equipment and various mounting elements into concrete and other solid mineral bases. Their simple construction and high holding capacity make them widely used in construction and industrial assembly work.

A wedge anchor consists of a bolt, nut, washer and an expanding wedge mechanism. After the anchor is placed into a pre-drilled hole in the concrete base, tightening the nut expands the wedge so the anchor is firmly secured inside the concrete.

Key characteristics

  • Wedge-type expansion mechanism
  • High holding capacity in concrete bases
  • Strong, reliable mechanical connection
  • Various diameter and length options
  • Used together with nut and washer
  • Electro-galvanized and other surface finishes

Applications

  • Fixing steel structures to concrete bases
  • Mounting columns and supports
  • Fixing cable trays and cable ducts
  • Pipe supports and engineering systems
  • Fixing equipment and machinery to concrete floors
  • Installing brackets and consoles

Both wedge anchors and sleeve anchors are mechanical concrete anchors, but their expansion mechanisms differ: a wedge anchor is secured by wedge expansion inside the concrete, while a sleeve anchor works on the principle of an outer sleeve expanding.
